You’ll have two opportunities to join us in celebrating Halloween 2022. On Friday, 10/28, we’ll gather at DuPont Underground where you can grab a drink from our on-site bartender who will be whipping up spooky cocktails. Purchasing a drink is optional, as the cost of drinks are not included in your ticket.
Both night’s programs are the same. Together we’ll enjoy pieces with musical references to otherworldly spirits, superstition and ritual, and even elements of death and the macabre. Pianist and cofounder Christopher Schmitt will perform devilish works for piano solo, including Liszt's Mephisto Waltz and Chopin's Funeral March Sonata, and will be joined by Violinist Katie Hyun of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center performing Wieniawski's Faust Fantasy and Saint-Saens' Dance Macabre, and Chasson's Poeme, based on a chilling short story by Ivan Turgenev.
