Looking for a night with unlimited food and drink as part of your experience? On Saturday, 10/29, you’re invited to join us for the same collection of music at the Arts Club, where your ticket will include access to all libations on site. This night’s performance will also include additional conversation from our performers, who will go into detail about the pieces you’re enjoying.
Both night’s programs are the same. Together we’ll enjoy pieces with musical references to otherworldly spirits, superstition and ritual, and even elements of death and the macabre. Pianist and cofounder Christopher Schmitt will perform devilish works for piano solo, including Liszt's Mephisto Waltz and Chopin's Funeral March Sonata, and will be joined by Violinist Katie Hyun of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center performing Wieniawski's Faust Fantasy and Saint-Saens' Dance Macabre, and Chasson's Poeme, based on a chilling short story by Ivan Turgenev.
